Uganda's National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board worked with the Uganda Police Force to seize more than 370 gaming machines described by the regulator as illegal during two enforcement rounds in October. The total comes from updates reported by iGaming AFRIKA on October 29 and attributed to the national regulator.

The first update, issued on October 16, covered more than 170 machines recovered across 11 districts. The locations named in the report included Ibanda, Mbarara, Kabale, Masaka, Pallisa, Butebo, Namutumba, Apac, Nwoya, Oyam and Kole. The operation forms part of the regulator's continuing enforcement campaign known as Operation Mashine Haramu.

A follow-up update on October 29 reported more than 200 additional devices confiscated in the Kampala metropolitan area, Isingiro, Kibuku, Pallisa, Lamwo and border locations. Together, the two reported totals exceed 370 machines. The description of the equipment as illegal reflects the regulator's enforcement position and does not by itself establish a court finding against every operator connected with the devices.

The regulator credited police commanders, local leaders, whistleblowers, media partners and community members with helping officers locate machines. Its official enforcement update documents the campaign, while the October 29 report says the board is asking the public to continue reporting suspected illegal operators, manufacturers and suppliers.
