Merkur Group plans to open its new casino in Siegburg, Germany, on December 10 with a three-day celebration through December 12. Actor Patrick Duffy and actress Linda Purl are scheduled to attend the opening night, according to Merkur's announcement.
The casino covers about 1,600 square metres and will offer traditional roulette and card tables alongside roughly 250 slot machines. Merkur says it invested more than €35 million in the project and created around 100 jobs. Construction took about 20 months from the March 2025 groundbreaking to the planned opening.
The City of Siegburg independently confirms the date, venue details and guest programme. Duffy and Purl's appearance is an announced future event rather than a completed visit, and the casino remains scheduled to open in December.
