KingMidas Games has joined Yggdrasil's YGG Masters partner programme and will use the supplier's Game in a Box development technology. The agreement is designed to shorten the studio's production cycle and extend the reach of future releases through Yggdrasil's distribution infrastructure.
The studio will be able to adjust game mechanics, math models and server-side logic while testing different development directions, according to iGaming Business. Those capabilities are intended to give the development team more control before certification and launch.
Yggdrasil's product page describes Game in a Box as a connected workflow covering design, math configuration, prototyping, testing and certification. The platform is available to partner studios and is positioned as a way to reduce manual handovers between production stages.
The current announcement does not identify the first KingMidas title to be created under the arrangement or give a release date. G3 Newswire reports that the studio views the partnership as part of its international growth strategy, while Yggdrasil gains another content partner for the YGG Masters network.
