Wade Howk has moved from a major South Korean integrated resort to the executive team of Seneca Resorts & Casinos in New York. The tribal gaming operator selected him as its new chief financial officer, according to a company announcement published by Indian Gaming.
The role combines oversight of day-to-day accounting with longer-term financial planning. Howk will be responsible for budgets, reporting, analysis and purchasing across the casino group. He is also expected to assess cash resources, operating results and the way the business is financed before advising Seneca Gaming Corporation's directors.
Howk arrives after serving as chief operating officer at Inspire Entertainment Resort. He was involved in bringing the Incheon complex into operation, a project with more than 1,200 hotel rooms, a 15,000-seat arena and dozens of retail outlets. Inside Asian Gaming reported that his tenure there lasted three years.
His earlier career crossed several parts of the leisure industry, including Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, Penn Entertainment and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. Seneca President and CEO Kevin Nephew pointed to that mix of operating and strategic experience as the company adapts to a changing gaming market.
