Macau could still reach its 2026 casino gross gaming revenue target of MOP236 billion, or about US$29.2 billion, despite consecutive monthly declines, according to a new CreditSights assessment. The projection concerns full-year gaming receipts and is not a confirmed final result.

The iGaming Brazil report says the credit-research firm continues to see the official target as achievable. CreditSights pointed to the market's accumulated performance and the revenue still required during the closing months of the year.

Macau's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau publishes the underlying monthly figures in patacas. Those records provide the authoritative measure of gross gaming revenue, while the CreditSights conclusion is an interpretation of the remaining pace needed to meet the annual benchmark.

Recent softness does not automatically determine the full-year outcome because Macau revenue can move sharply between months. Holiday travel, premium-player activity and the timing of major events can change the daily run rate, making the final quarter important to the target.

The MOP236 billion figure would be below Macau's MOP247.4 billion total for 2025. Reaching it would therefore confirm that the market had met the government's planning assumption, but it would not by itself represent year-on-year growth. The next official monthly releases will show whether the required pace is being maintained.
