Macau's casinos generated MOP60.22 billion ($7.46 billion) in gross gaming revenue during the third quarter of 2026, a 3.8% decline from a year earlier and 1.3% below the previous quarter. The market-wide figures published by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau show that weaker mass baccarat outweighed stronger slot-machine revenue.
Mass baccarat remained the largest product, but revenue from the game fell 7.9% year on year and 4.4% quarter on quarter to MOP33.61 billion. Its contribution to total casino GGR declined to 55.8%, compared with 58.3% in the third quarter of 2025. The broader mass segment, which also includes slots and electronic table products, produced MOP43.31 billion, down 5.2%, and represented 71.9% of quarterly casino revenue, according to Asia Gaming Brief.
VIP baccarat moved in the opposite direction on a sequential basis. Revenue edged up 0.1% year on year and 6.3% from the second quarter to MOP16.91 billion, lifting its share of the market to 28.1%. The bureau classifies certain tables inside integrated resorts as VIP, while concessionaires use a different reporting basis, so the official VIP figures are not directly comparable with operator disclosures.
Slot machines were the quarter's strongest major category, with GGR rising 18.8% to MOP4.09 billion and their market share increasing to 6.8%. Live multi-game electronic products fell 8% to about MOP1.14 billion. The mix shows that growth in slots and stable VIP play was insufficient to offset the decline in Macau's largest revenue category.
