Macau casinos generated MOP21.68 billion in gross gaming revenue during October, a decline of about 10% from the same month of 2025. The comparison was unusually demanding because last October produced MOP24.09 billion, one of the market's strongest post-pandemic monthly results.
The official DICJ table shows that the first ten months of 2026 still ended slightly ahead of the previous year. Revenue from January through October reached approximately MOP208.8 billion, around 1.6% higher than the corresponding 2025 period.
The October decline therefore reduced the market's year-to-date growth rather than pushing the cumulative result into contraction. SoloAzar notes concerns about high-end spending, although the regulator's headline series does not divide revenue between mass-market and VIP customers.
Monthly casino revenue can vary with holiday timing, visitor volumes and comparison effects. The latest release provides a market-wide total and does not disclose revenue by concessionaire, so it cannot establish which operator or customer segment drove the fall without additional company or regulator data.
