Harry Reid International Airport handled 4,076,634 arriving and departing passengers in September, an 8.4% decline from the same month of 2025. The year-earlier total was 4,451,690 passengers.

The CDC Gaming report attributes the figures to the Clark County Department of Aviation. It says September extended the airport's run of year-on-year monthly declines to 20 consecutive months.

The airport's official statistics portal publishes separate passenger, cargo and traffic reports for 2026. Those datasets make it possible to distinguish passenger throughput from aircraft movements and freight activity.

Airport passenger volume is a useful indicator for the Las Vegas tourism and gaming market, but it is not a direct measure of casino visitation or spending. The figure counts both arrivals and departures, while some travelers may be connecting, visiting for non-gaming events or using other transport.

The September drop also comes against a high base after Las Vegas airport traffic reached record levels in 2024 and then declined in 2025. The remaining monthly reports will determine the full-year result and show whether the contraction persists through the city's major autumn event calendar.
