Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has lifted worldwide freezing orders against LET Group chairman Andrew Lo Kai Bong and Major Success Group after HK$146,859,320 was paid into court. The procedural change releases the asset restrictions but does not end the regulator's underlying case.

The SFC announcement says Lo and Major Success made the payment on October 20. The amount matches the value previously covered by the freezing orders and will remain available to satisfy any orders the Court of First Instance may issue when the proceedings conclude.

The regulator's section 214 action continues against Lo, LET Group Holdings and Summit Ascent Holdings. The SFC is seeking remedies intended to protect independent shareholders, including a possible share repurchase order and the appointment of a receiver or manager over specified assets. No final liability ruling is reported in the latest notice.

Inside Asian Gaming notes that the trial is scheduled to begin on September 20, 2027. The release of the freeze therefore changes how the disputed amount is secured while leaving the substance of the legal proceedings for the court to determine.
