Betsson reported record quarterly revenue of €326.5 million for the three months to September, a 10% increase from a year earlier, but operating profit moved in the opposite direction. The company's interim report shows EBIT falling 31% to €46.1 million as the margin narrowed from 22.6% to 14.1%.
Casino revenue rose 14% and reached a record, while sportsbook revenue increased only 1% as the betting margin slipped to 8.1% from 8.8%. Active customers grew 40% to almost 1.9 million. Betsson said the World Cup and the return of major European football leagues supported activity, but growth came primarily from casino products.
A larger share of business now comes from regulated markets with higher taxes and other operating costs. Revenue from locally regulated jurisdictions rose 35% to €253.8 million, equal to 78% of the group total. iGaming Business reports that gaming taxes increased by about €28 million and that chief executive Pontus Lindwall described Latin America's regulated consumer markets as having a different cost and tax structure. Latin American revenue rose 52% and accounted for 36% of the quarter's total.
The profit decline was not uniform across the year. EBIT increased 9% from the second quarter and the margin improved from 13.6%, while revenue received an additional contribution from Rhino Entertainment after its consolidation in August. Betsson said average daily revenue through October 18 was 11% above the average for the fourth quarter of 2025, although sportsbook margins remained well below their recent average.
