SkillOnNet says it has received a Finnish gambling licence, giving the online gaming group a route into the country's competitive market when licensed services begin on July 1, 2027. The award was granted by Finland's National Police Board, according to the October 27 report.

The company operates online casino brands including PlayOJO and provides gaming technology and operational services. Its corporate site says it combines platform technology, compliance, operations and marketing across regulated and emerging regulated jurisdictions. SkillOnNet has not disclosed which of its brands will launch in Finland.

Finland's reform replaces part of Veikkaus's monopoly with a licensing system. The Finnish Government says betting, online slots, casino games and online money bingo will open to licensed competition, while lotteries and several land-based products remain under exclusive rights.

The new framework includes mandatory player identification, spending limits and centralised self-exclusion. SkillOnNet described the licence as part of its regulated-market expansion, but the available announcement did not provide launch details, brand selection or commercial forecasts for Finland.
