Massachusetts' three casinos generated approximately $82.69 million in gross gaming revenue during September 2026, according to the state gaming commission's October 20 release. The total covers Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor.
The same month produced approximately $71.19 million in taxable sports wagering revenue across three retail sportsbooks and seven mobile or online licensees. Massachusetts applies a 15% tax rate to retail operators and a 20% rate to mobile operators, while its monthly revenue page publishes operator-level reports.
The regulator said casino operations have contributed roughly $2.55 billion in taxes and assessments since their respective openings. Licensed sports wagering has generated approximately $514.58 million in taxes and assessments since retail betting began in January 2023 and online betting followed that March.
September's figures show different monthly patterns across the two regulated channels. Casino gross gaming revenue fell from the $101.92 million reported for August, while taxable sports wagering revenue rose from $47.09 million as the autumn sports calendar expanded.
