Light & Wonder has completed the first installation of its RAPIDPLAY cashless-payment system at Crystal Bay Casino in Nevada, according to a company announcement reported by Inside Asian Gaming. The supplier described it as the product's first global deployment.

RAPIDPLAY is designed to let a player access funds from a personal mobile device while at a slot machine. The player scans a code and completes the transfer through open-banking technology, without downloading a dedicated app or using a casino loyalty card.

Light & Wonder said the approach can shorten the payment process for players while giving casino operators another route to modernize transactions on the gaming floor. The company worked with payment-service provider Koin on the Crystal Bay installation.

The announcement marks a live venue deployment rather than a future product preview, although the account comes from the supplier and its rollout partner. Light & Wonder has not disclosed transaction volumes or a schedule for additional casinos, so the operational scale beyond Crystal Bay remains to be seen.
