BetRivers Poker has introduced Mystery Bounty tournaments for players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia. The new format became available from October 26 at several buy-in levels, according to PokerNews.
Mystery Bounty events initially play like conventional tournaments. The extra mechanic begins once the field reaches the money. A player who eliminates an opponent during that phase receives a draw for a hidden prize, so the value attached to each knockout is not known in advance.
The interface reveals the bounty immediately after an elimination and recalculates the displayed average after every knockout. BetRivers has also added bounty-target icons to identify all-in players, giving participants a clearer view of when a mystery prize is at stake.
The launch expands the tournament formats available through the operator's US poker network. BetRivers also maintains an official poker page for Michigan. The Mystery Bounty addition is distinct from the operator's separate anniversary promotion and changes the structure of the games rather than simply adding a short-term reward.
