Entre Ríos gambling regulator IAFAS is preparing to enforce a provincial law that bars people listed in the child-support debtor registry from entering casinos and gambling halls. The measure forms part of Law 11,326, which also extends restrictions to paid cultural and sporting events.
The IAFAS notice says implementation will require facial-recognition equipment and closer coordination with police officers assigned to venues. The regulator also plans to open a reporting channel and exchange information with the authority that manages the debtor registry.
The law changes the earlier statute that created the provincial registry. An APFDigital report on the official-gazette publication says the legislature approved the amendment on October 14 and the provincial executive enacted it on October 21. The restriction for gambling venues is to be introduced progressively rather than through an immediate uniform check.
IAFAS has publicly backed the measure but has not announced a single start date for every casino or detailed how identity checks will operate at each entrance. The next stage therefore depends on implementing rules and coordination among the regulator, the registry authority, police and venue operators.
