Cipriani has reopened the renovated Locanda hotel in La Barra near Punta del Este, beginning a new operating season on October 30. The property has 100 rooms and has expanded its hospitality offer with a spa and wellness centre designed to remain open throughout the year.
The gaming component did not open with the hotel. Portada Punta reports that the Locanda casino is planned for December, while further details are expected after the company's dealer-training programme concludes.
The casino is intended to admit adult visitors as well as hotel guests. CodigoPoker says the venue will also provide practical experience for staff trained through the group's academy.
The Locanda project is separate from Cipriani's larger resort and casino development at the former San Rafael site. SBC Noticias says that development is scheduled for October 2027. The timetable remains a company projection, while the confirmed current event is the reopening of the renovated hotel.
