Chile's Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego has opened two casino operating-permit processes. One covers a nationally available slot and the other is reserved for the Aysén Region, according to the regulator's October 20 announcement.
The openings were formalized through Exempt Resolutions 992 and 993, both dated October 14. Chile's official legal publication for Resolution 992 records the regional process for Aysén. The regulator approved the corresponding technical terms through two separate resolutions issued on the same date.
Applicants have 120 business days to prepare technical and economic offers. The presentation hearing is scheduled for April 12, 2027, at the SCJ's Santiago offices. Prospective bidders may send questions through November 3, while the regulator has 15 days to issue answers, as the current process summary also reports.
After the offer hearing, SCJ has another 120 business days to evaluate the technical submissions under the methodology in the tender rules. The launch begins the competitive process rather than awarding either permit, so the identities and locations of the eventual operators remain undecided.
