Casino Schenefeld has marked the completion of a major renovation that expanded its gaming floor and redesigned its guest areas. The German venue now has a new internal gallery, 50 additional slot machines, a larger non-smoking section and a new bar.
The modernisation was carried out over several months, with parts of the casino remaining open during early construction. G3 Newswire reported that the property closed from September 14 through September 30 for the main phase before returning to operation in stages. Slot gaming resumed on October 1, followed by roulette and blackjack on October 11 and the new bar on November 1.
The newly installed gallery is the central architectural change. It adds floor area within the existing building and creates more room for gaming and guest circulation. The operator also used the project to brighten the interior and reorganize lounge spaces while retaining the property's established industrial design.
A reception for more than 150 guests was scheduled for November 6 to mark the completion of the work. Local publication Dorfstadt said the event included live music, food service, gaming activities and a poker tournament. The public opening continues on November 7 and 8 during regular operations.
The Casino Schleswig-Holstein website confirms that the venue is operating again and promoting the opening weekend. Casino Schenefeld is located in the Stadtzentrum Schenefeld shopping centre near Hamburg and offers slots, roulette, blackjack and poker.
