Abstract scales representing an interim court order on a betting licence

A Brazilian federal appeals judge has provisionally restored CDA Gaming's fixed-odds betting authorisation while the operator's legal challenge to the national betting restriction continues. The interim order is limited to CDA Gaming and does not reopen the wider market.

Judge Adriana Pileggi of the Third Region Federal Regional Court issued the relief on November 3. Lei em Campo reported that the decision temporarily removes the effect of Provisional Measure 1,394/2026 on the company's authorisation.

CDA Gaming operates Casa de Apostas, Betsul and Jogo Online under an authorisation granted by the Ministry of Finance's betting secretariat. Global Gaming Insider said the licence was issued under Ordinance 255/2025 and was scheduled to remain valid through December 2029.

The court directed the restoration of the three domains and the operational, financial and payment services needed for authorised betting. iGaming Brazil reported that CDA Gaming said it had paid BRL30 million for the authorisation before the provisional measure ended approvals early.

The relief lasts until the underlying mandamus action receives a final decision or another judicial order changes the position. CDA Gaming remains subject to regulatory supervision, while the national prohibition continues to apply to operators that are not covered by separate court relief.
