Borussia Dortmund has extended its integrity partnership with Sportradar, retaining the sports-technology company to examine prospective sponsors and other commercial partners. The arrangement focuses on business due diligence rather than match monitoring or the distribution of betting data.

The iGaming Brazil report says the renewed agreement continues a service already used by the German football club. Dortmund aims to identify organisations that fit its values, protect its reputation and support sustainable commercial growth.

Under the provider's announcement, Sportradar will perform background investigations on potential partners. Its reports can cover corporate and ownership structures, licensing arrangements, senior personnel, business activity and regulatory compliance.

The review process may also examine legal or criminal proceedings that could create reputational exposure. That does not mean every prospective partner is suspected of wrongdoing. It is a screening framework intended to give the club additional information before entering a commercial relationship.

Sportradar executive Andreas Krannich said sports rights holders are placing more emphasis on long-term strategic fit when evaluating sponsorships. Neither party disclosed the duration or financial terms of the extension. The agreement therefore confirms the continued scope of the service, but not its commercial value or a fixed list of future partners.
