Spain has opened a central portal where online gamblers can review their activity across licensed operators, while a new market-wide deposit control moves through its testing phase. The two tools turn a policy approved earlier this year into a service that players can now inspect and use ahead of full implementation.
The Directorate-General for Gambling Regulation said the combined system applies default ceilings of EUR 700 per day, EUR 1,750 per week and EUR 3,300 over four weeks. Deposits across every licensed account count toward the same totals. Existing limits at each operator remain as an additional control rather than disappearing.
Players may request different ceilings or remove them, but increases take three business days to become effective and can be made only once every three months. The regulator's central platform checks transactions in real time, which avoids operators exchanging customer data directly. Earlier English-language coverage of the decree described the same market-wide model and default amounts.
The Player Portal brings deposits, wagers, winnings, losses and account history into one view. It also lets users create spending alerts, manage combined limits, download annual activity certificates and see which operator accounts are linked to their identity. Access is free through Spain's Cl@ve identification system, including for people without a gambling account.
The limits are available during testing but are not yet fully in force. The regulator gives March 26, 2027 as the definitive start date. Earlier industry reporting had already placed the system on a testing path toward March 2027, making today's launch the operational step rather than a fresh legislative approval.
