Spain has opened a central Player Portal and begun testing a system that counts online gambling deposits across all licensed operators. The model replaces a fragmented approach in which each company applied its own cap, allowing a player with several accounts to deposit more in aggregate.

The consumer ministry's announcement sets default joint limits of €700 per day, €1,750 per week and €3,300 over four weeks. Players may request changes, but an increase or removal takes three business days and the limit can be raised only once every three months.

The system is currently in testing and is scheduled to become fully effective on 26 March 2027. It is already available to users, while the free portal can be accessed through Spain's Cl@ve identity service by citizens with or without a gambling account.

The portal displays aggregated deposits, stakes, wins, losses and activity history. It also lets people check which gambling accounts are linked to their identity, create spending alerts and manage limit requests. SoloAzar reports that the rollout is designed to close the multi-operator gap while preserving individual control tools.
