SJM Holdings reported a HK$397 million loss attributable to shareholders for the third quarter of 2026. The result reversed a HK$9 million profit in the same period last year and was wider than the losses recorded in the first two quarters of 2026.
Inside Asian Gaming reported that market headwinds and renovation work at key properties affected the quarter. The loss was equivalent to about US$50.6 million at the conversion used in the report.
SJM Holdings is the parent of SJM Resorts, one of Macau's gaming concessionaires. The company operates casino and hospitality properties in a market where renovation schedules can temporarily reduce available capacity and disrupt customer traffic.
The quarterly result leaves the operator with a larger earnings gap to close as its property work continues. The report does not establish that renovations alone caused the loss, and the company's performance remains exposed to wider visitor demand and competition in Macau.
