Shawn Murphy won the RunGood Poker Series Houston $600 Main Event at Champions Club Texas, collecting $51,000 after finishing first in a field of 538 entries. The result was confirmed after the tournament concluded on October 19.
The completed live-reporting page records a $269,000 prize pool and 49 paid places. Six starting flights were needed, and the final pool cleared the event's $250,000 guarantee.
Murphy reached heads-up play against Grant Matatall and converted his lead into the title. Matatall earned $38,300 as runner-up, while Tzu Yen finished third for $23,870. The tournament recap says Murphy had controlled much of the action from the final two tables onward before securing the last elimination.
The victory delivered the largest recorded tournament payout of Murphy's career to date. A RunGood Poker Series announcement independently confirms the winner, $51,000 prize and 538-entry field.
