SBC Media has made two senior appointments that separate responsibility for newsroom strategy from client content and research products. Martyn Elliott has become Managing Editor, while Luke Massey has returned to the company as Media Director.

Elliott will lead editorial strategy across the publisher's betting and gaming titles. The company announcement says the portfolio's editors will report to him, covering SBC News, Lottery Daily, iGaming Expert, SlotBeats, SBC Noticias, SBC Noticias Brasil, Affiliate Leaders and Payment Expert. His appointment fills the top position in the editorial structure.

Massey takes Elliott's previous Media Director role after more than four and a half years away from SBC. He most recently worked as a senior editor at The Sporting News and previously spent almost four years managing content for Oddschecker at FairPlay Sports Media. His remit includes the commercial editorial team, webinars, digital conferences and research projects produced through SBC Insights.

The Spanish-language announcement from SBC Noticias presents the appointments as a reinforcement of credible journalism and client service. The structure places independent editorial decision-making with Elliott while Massey focuses on commissioned content, commercial products and industry intelligence.

Both executives are expected to represent SBC Media at industry events in 2027, including ICE Barcelona, SBC Summit Europe and SBC Summit. The company has not disclosed financial terms or further staffing changes connected with the appointments.
