Rwanda has launched InteGo, a government-owned national lottery designed to operate through digital channels and fund public-benefit programmes. The first draw took place in Kigali on 27 October, with televised daily draws beginning the following day, according to the Rwanda Development Board.

The National Lottery and Gambling Commission, which sits under the development board, regulates the lottery. Moja Rwanda Ltd serves as technical operator after selection through a competitive process. The separation gives the commission responsibility for compliance, player protection and oversight of proceeds, while Moja handles technology and service delivery.

The first products are Lotto 5/90 and Fata 12. Entry starts at RWF100, and customers can participate through USSD, mobile money, the lottery website or its mobile application. Authorised agents can assist people in person, but tickets and payments remain digital. iGaming AFRIKA's launch report confirms that Lotto 5/90 draws are scheduled across all seven days on Rwanda Broadcasting Agency television.

RDB projects approximately US$37.6 million, or RWF55 billion, in government proceeds. It says funds are intended for sports, health and culture, although the announcement does not state the period covered by that projection. The figure should therefore be read as an official target rather than realised revenue.

Participation is limited to adults aged 18 or older. The platform includes spending limits, cooling-off options and voluntary account closure, while a free support line is available on 2075. Officials also state that the lottery is entertainment and should not be treated as income or a solution to financial difficulties.
