Rio Hotel & Casino has opened a new gaming room devoted to two Aristocrat Gaming slot families. The venue, called Dragon Lair, replaces the resort's former poker room and is operating on the existing casino floor.
The room brings Dragon Link and Phoenix Link machines into a single themed space. A current opening report says the two collections build on Aristocrat's Lightning Link format while using different hold-and-spin, jackpot and free-game features.
Rio's official casino page locates Dragon Lair between the William Hill Sportsbook and Canteen Food Hall. The resort presents it as a dedicated section within a casino inventory that now includes more than 800 new machines, rather than a separate casino operation.
The project extends Rio's collaboration with Aristocrat while repurposing floor space that had previously served poker players. CDC Gaming Reports independently confirms the opening, the former poker-room location and the two featured game families. Casino gambling at the property remains restricted to guests aged 21 or older.
