PokerStars will open its 2027 live-event calendar in Campione d'Italia, with a ten-day festival scheduled from January 8 through January 17 at Casinò di Campione. The dates and venue were confirmed in the organiser's announcement.
The Main Event will carry a €1,250 buy-in. That is €150 above the €1,100 price used for the Campione Main Event in 2026, giving players an early indication of how PokerStars is positioning its Open series for the new year.
A complete tournament schedule has not yet been released. PokerNews reports that the programme is still being finalised, so details such as starting flights, side events and any prize-pool guarantees remain to be confirmed.
The stop returns to the Italian enclave on Lake Lugano after a strong 2026 edition. That year's €1,100 Main Event recorded 1,582 entries and produced a €1,518,720 prize pool, with Elvir Nuhiu taking the title. The January dates make Campione the first announced PokerStars Open festival of 2027.
