The Ohio Casino Control Commission has barred a resident from the state's regulated gambling market after finding that he made threatening statements about Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider during the 2025 World Series. The commission placed Blake Morgan on Ohio's Sports Gaming Involuntary Exclusion List following a hearing he requested, according to SBC Americas.

The exclusion blocks Morgan from Ohio gaming properties and legal online sports betting. The regulator's signed order says the statements were made during a recorded call to Major League Baseball's customer-service line on or around October 28, 2025 and were connected to wagering activity. This report describes the commission's finding and does not reproduce the threatening language.

An independent account from GamblingHarm.org says the order rejected Morgan's objections and concluded that the conduct threatened both sports-gaming integrity and participant welfare. MLB had separately barred him from league facilities within days of the call.

Commission executive director Andromeda Morrison said betting-related threats against sports participants would not be tolerated and credited MLB's cooperation with bringing the matter before the regulator. The action follows wider calls from major North American leagues and player associations for permanent gambling bans and better information-sharing when betting-related abuse is substantiated.
