Nicholas Seward captured his first PokerGO Tour title by defeating Daniel Negreanu heads-up in Event #9 of the 2026 Poker Masters. The official PokerGO Tour result lists a $412,500 first prize for Seward and $262,500 for Negreanu.

The $26,000 no-limit hold'em tournament drew 50 entries and built a $1.25 million prize pool. Eight players reached the money, with Daniyal Gheba taking third for $175,000 before the title was decided.

Negreanu started heads-up play with 4.2 million chips against Seward's 3.305 million. Seward repeatedly closed the gap, moved ahead after making four kings, and extended his advantage when his full house beat Negreanu's flush. According to the independent PokerNews recap, the duel lasted about two hours.

The final hand began with Negreanu moving all in holding king-ten after Seward opened. Seward called with king-jack, and the board did not change the lead. The victory also lifted Seward to third in the Poker Masters standings with one event remaining.
