Light & Wonder has launched its Gremlins-themed slot machine at Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel in Highland, California. The 28 October debut is the first casino-floor release for the licensed title, developed with Warner Bros. Global Experiences, according to the launch announcement.
The game draws on the 1984 film while using a set of modern slot mechanics. During base play, character-driven events can nudge reels, duplicate symbols, add wilds or deliver extra prizes. A separate Coin Feature collects values shown across the reels and introduces Electric and Water Mogwai elements.
Its main bonus is Jackpot Mayhem, described as a Hold & Spin-style round. Gremlin symbols reveal letters connected to five jackpots, while additional symbols can raise awards during the feature. The release does not state a wider rollout timetable beyond the debut venue.
Ryan Scott, Light & Wonder senior vice president of product management and commercial strategy, said the company paired the franchise's nostalgic appeal with feature-led gameplay. Yaamava' general manager Kenji Hall said the resort wanted to be the first casino to offer the title on its floor.
Independent GGRAsia coverage confirmed the California launch, while Tribal Gaming & Hospitality published the full feature description. The original G3 Newswire report appeared on 29 October.
