Konami Gaming's Bomberman slot series has won the land-based North America Game of the Year category at the 2026 Gaming Intelligence Awards. The award organizer named the title as its land-based winner in results published this month.
The casino games adapt Konami's long-running maze-action video game property for slot cabinets. In an October 27 company announcement, Konami said the first machines in the series debuted less than a year ago.
Gaming Intelligence's North America awards cover separate online, land-based, live-casino, lottery and iLottery categories. The land-based recognition therefore applies to the casino-floor version rather than a consumer video game release or an online casino product.
Konami marketing vice president John Eary attributed the result to casino partners and the company's development teams. The award is an industry accolade and does not independently verify the supplier's claims about player demand or commercial performance.
