Iowa regulators are carrying out final compliance and system checks at Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center before its planned November 19 opening in Cedar Rapids. The work is part of the normal pre-opening process and no compliance failure has been announced.

A current report quoting Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission administrator Tina Eick says staff are reviewing the gaming floor and supporting systems. Regulators must complete that work before the new venue can receive customers.

The opening date was moved forward from the project's original year-end timetable. G3 Newswire reported on October 16 that the gaming floor will open on November 19. The venue had previously announced a mid-November launch and December 4-5 celebration.

The preparations are accompanied by a consumer warning unrelated to the physical casino's compliance tests. Cedar Crossing says an unaffiliated online operation is using its identity. The venue's scam-awareness notice states that it does not offer online casino play and tells users not to submit personal or financial information to websites claiming otherwise.

Eick separately emphasized that online casino gaming is not legal in Iowa. The warning does not name a specific suspect or domain, so customers should rely on the official venue site and report suspicious advertisements without interacting with them.

The November 19 opening remains scheduled rather than completed. The regulator's final reviews and any remaining construction or operational approvals must be resolved before the doors open, and the venue has not reported a change to that timetable.
