Esportes da Sorte has asked Corinthians to end their master sponsorship agreement without a termination payment, opening negotiations over a contract currently suspended by Brazil's new betting restrictions. The football club disputes the proposed terms and says the agreement has not ended automatically.
The sponsor delivered its notice during the final week of October. iGaming Brazil reports that the contract was renewed in February 2026, runs through December 2029 and provides fixed annual payments of R$150 million.
The agreement was suspended after a federal provisional measure halted betting operations and advertising in Brazil. Esportes da Sorte argues that the legal change prevents it from continuing the sponsorship and permits an exit without a penalty. Corinthians believes the contract should remain suspended while Congress considers the measure and that an early termination would require compensation.
The legal departments of both sides are discussing a possible resolution. Brazilian outlet ge independently confirmed the notice and negotiations. Corinthians has used temporary replacement brands on its shirt while the betting sponsorship remains inactive.
