Denmark's Gambling Authority has launched a public-awareness campaign asking parents to look beyond children's screen time and examine how video games deliver rewards. The October 26 announcement calls the initiative Casino in the Children's Room.

The campaign focuses on mechanics that can resemble gambling, including randomized prizes and loot-box-style rewards. It does not say that every game containing such a feature is legally gambling. Instead, the regulator wants adults to understand what children encounter and start informed conversations about game design and spending.

A short film turns an ordinary bedroom into a casino to make the issue visible. Temporary storefront installations in Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen use a fictional Casino Kids theme, while digital promotion runs across several online and educational channels. The current campaign report describes the displays as prompts for parents rather than real gambling venues.

Families and professionals are directed to Spillemyndigheden's StyrPåSpillet platform. It provides explanations of gaming, gambling and addiction alongside practical material for discussing money and game mechanics with young people.
