Brightstar Lottery has secured a two-year extension to continue providing technology and services to the New York Lottery. The agreement preserves the existing supplier relationship rather than introducing a new central system provider.
The contract was signed by Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation, a wholly owned Brightstar subsidiary, and the New York State Gaming Commission. Brightstar disclosed the extension in an October 20 company release. The announcement says the subsidiary will continue delivering lottery technology and services in the state.
The release does not state the contract value, a precise expiry date, equipment quantities or a new technology deployment. It also does not provide revenue guidance tied to the extension. Those omissions make this a continuity agreement, not evidence of an expanded scope.
The New York State Gaming Commission regulates legal gaming activity in the state and conducts the functions of the New York Lottery. Brightstar chief operating officer for North America Lottery Scott Gunn said the company would continue meeting its obligations and supporting the lottery's record of generating funds for New York public schools.
That public-benefit role is material to the account. In a July release, the commission said the New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion to public schools in fiscal year 2025-26. The figure describes total lottery aid and should not be attributed specifically to Brightstar's technology contract.
G3 Newswire reports that the supplier has provided the lottery's central system since 1986. The newly signed two-year term continues that long-running arrangement, while the commercial terms and any operational changes remain undisclosed.
